These waterblocks only have to transfer rather little heat, but it can be very useful to integrate these components into the loop as in a watercooled system the airflow from the air-coolers which usually cools these components, is missing. Especially when overclocking, the RAM modules should also be cooled by the watercooling system. HDD waterblocks usually offer great decoupling and noise reduction, hence serving the purpose of a quiet PC whilst ensuring stable temperatures
